Stellar’s performances
Good afternoon,
Today, we are happy to present the Stellar Musical Theater Company from the USA.
Coming to Vietnam has been an effort many years in the making and we are so happy to finally be here in your beautiful country! These performers are High school students ages 14-18 from Monterey, California. They have worked all year to create this presentation and have also worked hard to fundraise the money so that they could come all the way here to share their performance with Vietnam. The performance we will present tonight, showcases the songs and dances from a variety of popular Musical Theater Shows. Our show includes musical presentations from The Greatest Showman, Moulin Rouge, Anastasia, Grease, Waitress, Aladdin and Wicked plus music and dance from many other Broadway classics. Please enjoy our show – and, if you know the music, feel free to sing along with us! We are so thrilled to be here learning about you and your culture and would be delighted to meet you after the show.
Our opening set comes from the popular shows The Greatest Showman and Moulin Rouge. Both stories center on stage performance and feature a variety of contemporary dance styles and songs.

Our second set is music from the hit movie and now Broadway Musical Anastasia. The story takes place at the turn of the century Russia as we follow young Anya in a discover of who she is, all the way to Paris.

Next, we will take a step into old Hollywood and Ballroom dance to the Music of American Musician Irving Berlin followed up by our “Swing” section featuring the music of the 1940’s and many classic Broadway dance styles.

Grease is the Word. Enjoy this short medley in honor of the late Olivia Newton John as we present the 1950’s rock musical Grease.
***
Next, Waitress takes place in a diner and tells the story of 3 waitresses living out their lives in a small mid-western town. Our nod to the American western culture.

Here’s a set for the young at heart! Disney’s Aladdin takes us to a far-away land. Please sing along as we share some highlights.

Our show concludes with a few songs and dances from one of the top Broadway Shows of all Time – Wicked. A story imagined from the pages of the wizard of oz that tells the story of friendship and loyalty.
