SUMMARY: The Nhã nhạc Thập tam âm is a musical instrument that is played in the rite of sacrifices and players to worship Confucius. This rite is organized annually on two days of the spring equinox and the autumnal equinox at the Temple of Confucius in Tainan City. This form of music has similarities and difference in comparison with Vietnam’s traditional music. The article introduces the general, formation and popularity of this musical form on the island of Taiwan
