SUMMARY: This article researches into the Chapi, a very popular musical instrument of the Raglai people living in the South Central Coast. The author describes in details all common and specific characteristics of structure, performing techniques, scales, repertoires, etc. of the Chapi, thus standing out the diversity of this musical instrument which is supposed unique in activities of culture, literature and arts of the Raglai people, and contributing to the colourful treasure of folk musical instruments of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
