SUMMARY: The article examines typical regional Vietnamese pronunciation faults made by students of light and vocal music enrolled in musicology institutes, music academies, and vocal music departments’ training programs. The article identifies, enumerates, categorizes, and provides a scientific explanation of pronunciation errors based on a combination of vocal music, anatomy, ethnography, dialectology, and other research methodologies such as interview, observation, and experiment. It also provides correcting methods suitable for each type of student.
