Students were very excited because it was their first time to see and listen to the introduction about tradi-tional musical instruments of Viet-namese ethnic groups, including the instruments for performing the musical heritages, recognized by UNESCO such as Nhã nhạc Huế royal music, Ca trù singing, art of Đờn ca tài tử Music and Song in Sothern Vietnam, gongs from the Central Highlands; and less popular instruments such as bronze drum, litho-phone, the ta lư, the khèn bè wind instrument, pa ra nưng drum, the tính lute, kloong put, jew’s harp, etc, at the showroom of traditional instruments of  the Vietnamese Institute for Music-ology. They proved the creativity of our ancestors and the uniqueness of Viet-namese traditional musical instruments. Also, students watched the poet, the calligrapher Văn Thùy and his collea-gues introducing and professsionally performing the meaningful Vietnamese calligraphy. The traditional and new music items performed by the Institute’s artists made it a cosy and full of kindness atmosphere at the Institute’s concert hall. The exchange show left a deep impression on the students this time returning homeland.
