At the invitation of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Malaysia, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Viet Nam appointed the Vietnamese Institute for Musicology (under Vietnam National Academy of Music) to perform at the show in the framework of ASEAN Summit from 23rd - 27th April 2015.

The performance was elaborately rehearsed with many items namely the ensemble of ASEAN countries’ traditional drums and the improvisation on a certain traditional melody. Moreover, each country performed a special traditional music piece. The show gained success and was highly appreciated.

To Vietnamese artists, this was an opportunity to exchange with artists from neighbor countries, gain more knowledge about cultural features in the world and learn from friends to integrate to the world without losing Vietnamese traditional cultural identities.
